The Angel Resilience Scholarship
The Angel Resilience Scholarship was established to recognize graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated resilience, perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to building a better future for themselves and their communities.
This scholarship celebrates students who have overcome challenges, remained focused on their goals, and continue to move forward with determination and purpose.
One scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded annually.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be a graduating high school senior.
Plan to attend a college, university, trade school, apprenticeship, or certification program following graduation.
Demonstrate resilience in overcoming personal, academic, or life challenges.
Demonstrate leadership, community involvement, or service to others.
Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Required Application Materials
To be considered, applicants must submit the following:
Completed Application Form
Complete all sections of the online application.
Transcript
Submit an unofficial or official high school transcript.
Personal Essay
Applicants must submit a 500–750 word essay responding to the following prompt:
"Resilience is the ability to continue moving forward despite obstacles and setbacks. Describe a challenge you have faced, how you overcame it, and how that experience has shaped your goals, character, and plans for the future."
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
Demonstrated resilience and perseverance
Leadership and character
Community involvement and service
Quality of essay response
Future goals and aspirations
Academic effort and achievement
The scholarship is intended to recognize the whole student, not simply academic performance.
